I have extensive experience managing some of the best media engagements and quite honestly some of the not-so-great. But someone has to manage crisis media, and they best do it well! I've also lead internal and investor/analyst communications, executive messaging, video scripts, newsletters, and chat boards.
After providing no response, statement or reaction to negative media stories, my previous employer hired me to lead marketing and communications. In that role, I partnered with a top PR agency to create and execute a strategic media plan to increase positive coverage and minimize negative coverage. Positive stories highlighted our staff across the country and the work they did for the vulnerable, the efforts we took in pivoting our business to address the needs during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the participation and fundraising we accomplished in our corporate sponsorship. Negative stories were mitigated and impressions diminished.
In 2019, I lead my employer to great success in media management:
Working with PR agencies to address crisis situations swiftly and directly to ensure factual, unbiased reporting and accurate representation of the brand. Example: https://bronx.news12.com/kiyc-logisticare-being-sued-in-california-35783880
Lead marketing and communication efforts in support of a multi-year sponsorship with the National Kidney Foundation across the country. Ultimately increasing participation and achieving over $700,000 raised and donated.
